The legal fireworks that ensued between Aare Afe Babalola and Dele Farotimi on the basis of defamatory allegations peddled against the former by the latter in his book seems to be nearing an amicable resolution following the intervention of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Adeyeye on behalf of Dele Farotimi.
In a closed door meeting held at the residence of Aare Afe Babalola in Ekiti, it was opined that Ooni Ogunwusi in company of other monarchs from Ekiti state persuaded Aare Afe Babalola to see Dele Farotimi as one of his hard children, as one usually have a mix of soft and hard children.
It was reported that Aara Afe Babalola noted that as one that grew up with the consciousness of the vital position that monarch occupy as representatives of the gods, it is incumbent on him to yield to the request of the highly revered monarch, despite the fact that he has rejected such move made by other eminent personalities
It was noted that Aare Afe Babalola told the Ooni that he has forgiven Dele Farotimi and that he would instruct his lawyers to withdraw the matter from court first thing on Monday morning.
