The Ondo State has started the channelization of major canals across the state, this is aimed at controlling the perennial flooding witnessed in the state.
Governor Mimiko while speaking at an inspection tour of the Araromi channelization project said the project became necessary to ensure the people in the neigbourhood live comfortably without any fear of overnight flooding.
Chief Omojowo and Chief Aderemi Adesida who spoke on behalf of the people in the area commended the governor on his people oriented projects especially the ongoing channelization which is of utmost importance to avert loss of lives and properties.
The project is ongoing in major cities in the state.
