A large number of supporters of the impeachment Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has stormed the assembly complex on Thursday.
In a series of viral videos and pictures online, scores of supporters were seen carrying placards while singing in support of Obasa at the entrance of the Lagos Assembly Complex.
It was also reported that Mudashiru Obasa has arrived the assembly complex with some security officers and made his way into the speaker’s office around 12pm. The development followed the withdrawal of the security aides of the speaker, Mojisola Meranda.
Segun Ajiboye, the Chief Press Secretary to Meranda has confirmed the development in a short message on Thursday. He accused Obasa and his team of allegedly breaking into the office.
