NSCDC TRAINS ANAMBRA OFFICERS ON WEAPON-HANDLING SKILLS

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command has organized refresher courses on weapon handling for officers and men in the command.

 

Make Olatinde, the State commandant of the Corp explained during the course of the exercise that correct and safe handling of weapons is of paramount importance, warning that the most minute safety breach might result into casualties and devastating consequences.

 

Okadigbo Edwin, the command’s Head, Media and Tactical Operations, in a statement on Saturday explained that the refresher course was organized to improve personnel’s marksmanship and weapon handling skills.

 

The statement read in part, “The goal of this training is to align with the idea of providing refresher courses to enhance the skills and knowledge of personnel in weapon handling.

 

“The command’s effort to provide this training demonstrates its commitment to developing a highly skilled and effective team.

 

“We urged participants to put the knowledge and skills acquired during the training into practice. This would enable them to effectively tackle and mitigate security threats within their respective areas of responsibility.

 

“The exercise demonstrated the command’s commitment to building on its past successes in personnel training, with a focus on enhancing their proficiency in firearms handling and marksmanship.”
