The National Judicial Council under the chairmanship of Hon. Justice Kudirat Motonmori Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun, GCON, the Chief Justice of Nigeria has recommended 14 candidates to President Bola Tinubu for appointment as judges of the Federal High Court.
Kemi Babalola-Ogedengbe, the Deputy Director of Information to the council made this known through an official statement released on Thursday.
“Council at its 110th meeting, presided over by the Honourable Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Kudirat Motonmori Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun, GCON, resolved to recommend to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, 14 names of successful candidates for appointment as judges of the Federal High Court,” the statement read.
“Having received the security report, with no adverse comments on any of the recommended candidates, Council, today, the 22nd day of January 2026, forwarded the names of the following candidates to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for appointment as Judges of the Federal High Court,”
The names sent to the president for approval include: Suleiman Hassan, Muhammad Saidu, Igboko Conchita, Onuegbu Angela, Galumje Edingah, Ibrahim Eneabo, Abubakar Usman, Salihu Yunusa, Ikpeme Bassey, Shehu Adamu, Mohammed Buba, Eigege-Binjin Judith, Usoro Uduak, and Nwoye Donatus.
