NANS Elects New President

The National Association of Nigerian Student (NASS) has elected Olushola Oladoja as its National President.

 

Olushola Oladoja, who is a postgraduate student of University of Jos got a total of 300 votes to defeat his major rival, Salahudeen Suleiman from the University of Abuja and Gambo Abubakar from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai.

 

The election was held on Wednesday at the Old Parade Ground, Abuja where a total of Three Hundred and Fifty-Eight (358) student leaders including presidents of Students’ Union Government (SUG) from several institutions across the country.

 

Comrade Suleiman Sariki chaired the NANS convention that oversaw the election process. Delegates that participated in the election hailed the election as transparent and credible while also commending the organizers for conducting a smooth exercise.
