MAKINDE STRENGTHENS OYO SECURITY WITH SIX ARMOURED PERSONNEL CARRIERS FOR POLICE

Engineer Seyi Makinde, the executive governor of Oyo State has handed over six Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) to the OYO State Police Command in a bid to boost the internal security mechanism of the state.

 

The governor made the presentation through Bayo Lawal, the deputy governor of the state in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital On Wednesday.

 

This gesture reaffirms his administrations commitment to the security of lives and properties and he also described the donation as a crucial intervention amid growing security challenges.

 

The governor explained that the APCs were procured at significant cost, and emphasized the importance of deploying them strictly for public safety and maintaining order.

 

He said, “The State Government is also acquiring two surveillance aircraft to strengthen aerial monitoring across the state.”
