Whao! I have been itching to write this all along but as a Chelsea Fc supporter and after the draw we played out with Tottenham Hotspur yesternight at Stamford bridge, I felt am now good to shoot. Many fans and pundits alike have been whoaed by Leicester City’s surge to the Epl summit since the start of the 2015/2016 Barclay’s Premier League season, So much that some have described them with different adjectives and others have labeled them with super sweet names, Some big club fans around the country have even vowed to root for the king Power outfit come next season.
However, in all sincerity I for one have not been left out of the fairy tale because its been a decent long time that an ordinary Team outside the usual cartel have rallied to win the Barclay’s Premier League,That was in 1995 when Blackburn Rovers managed to achieve that feat, We all know the story…It has always been swapped among the Epl elites of Manchester United, Chelsea Fc, Manchester City, Liverpool Fc and Arsenal Fc, Although the duo of Arsenal and Liverpool Fc haven’t laid their hands on the trophy in recent times, that hasn’t stripped them of the ‘Big team’ tag however. It’s all so surprising that a team who as recently as 2009 were in the third tier of English football are now Kings of all 92 English league Clubs, definitely no height is unachievable.
Subsequently, I overheard some footy lovers saying Such cannot happen in La Liga or even in the German Bundesliga, where teams like ‘Celta Vigo’ in Spain or ‘Schalke 04’ in Germany would win the League Trophy, Nonetheless if anything be said at all, it is the fact that Leicester City are worthy champions, many thanks to their Team work ability, Zeal, Dedication, Dogged spirit and a heart to work, plus of course Claudio Ranieri who oversaw it all, he has so groomed the players into believing in themselves, Furthermore, I can’t but chain this to our day-to day activity in life, Our zeal and passion matters most in whatever we do because without these qualities, there isn’t much that can be achieved.
Leicester City are champs but the question on everybody’s lips should be, With what players did they win the league? If anyone is able to reflect on this question, then we’ll all know the importance of team work, Zeal, Passion and of course doggedness. Conclusively, as a die-hard Chelsea fan I can proudly say ‘We did it for Ranieri’, And from my end here I wish the Foxes Congratulations on this massive feat!!!
