KWAKWANSO MOURNS THE DEMISE OF TWO KANO LAWMAKER

Rabiu Kwankwaso, Former Governor of Kano State and 2023 New Nigeria Peoples Party presidential candidate has mourned the sudden demise of Hon. Aminu Ungogo and Hon. Sarki Daneji both of whom are members of the Kano State House of Assembly.

‎Hon. Ungogo, a member of the NNPP, reportedly died after a brief illness while Hon. Daneji’s cause of death still remains unknown.

‎Kwakwanso expressed condolences and sadness over the demise of the lawmakers through a post released on his X video while also paying his last respect to them.

‎“Hon. Aminu Sa’adu Ungogo, representing Ungogo Constituency, was buried in his hometown in Ungogo Local Government Area. Until his demise, he served as Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations.

‎“He was a seasoned local administrator, having held positions such as Chief Personnel Officer (CPO), Director of Personnel Management (DPM), and Sole Administrator.

‎“Similarly, Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, representing Kano Municipal Constituency, was buried Thursday morning at the Dandolo Cemetery.

‎“Until his demise, he was serving his first term and was Chairman of the House Committee on Hajj Operations (Pilgrims Affairs). He retired from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as State Commandant in Katsina before entering active politics,” the statement read.

‎“May Almighty Allah forgive their shortcomings, accept their good deeds, and grant them Aljannatul Firdaus,” Kwankwaso said.
