JCI OndoKingdom celebrates World Peace Day with Hausa Vs Igbo match

The Ondo Kingdom chapter of Junior Chamber International organised a novelty match between Hausa and Igbo community to mark the 2016 World peace day.
The match which took place on Friday 16th September was organized to further unite the Hausas and Igbos in Ondo kingdom and also to celebrate the relative peace in Ondo city.
The match which looks more like a competition than a novelty ended in a 3:3 draw score line.
Speaking with our correspondent, the Leader of the Igbo community represented by Mr. Young John (Young Jonhnetex) said “we are excited to participate in this novelty match which is to show that we can live harmoniously with our Hausa brothers and sister”
The National President of Junior Chamber Nigeria, JCIN (Amb.) Tunji Oyeyemi while addressing the players before the kickoff opined that “if peace is possible in Ondo city then peace is possible everywhere in Nigeria”. He enjoined everybody to continue living harmoniously with one another and act peacefully at all times.
The 2016 International World Peace Day is 21st September, 2016.
