Ondo State State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko on Sunday faulted the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on the removal of Eyitayo Jegdede’s name as the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming governorship election in the state, saying it is technically the beginning of rigging.
Mimiko who made the disclosure while addressing PDP stakeholders at The Dome, in Akure, stressed that INEC’s decision was provocative and not based on any law or any guideline.
He further said, “Forget the legal battle, go back to your base and continue your campaigns”
“While politics is going on, we have not in anyway stopped governance in Ondo State. Our capital projects are ongoing”
“Governance will continue until my last day in office to deepen d paradigm of development we’ve embarked upon in the last 8yrs.
“I have no doubt in my mind that justice will be done and this level of impunity will not stand.
