Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the Executive Governor of Benue State ha submitted 2026 budget of N605,506,704,066.16 to the Benue State Houwse of Assembly for consideration and passage.
In a budget presentation speech read to the Benie State House of Assembly, Gov early noted that as of November, the 2025 budget estimate has an implementation rate of 73.3 percentage.
Governor Alia said that the proposed estimate has a capital expenditure of N342.420 while the recurrent expenditure amounted to N281.086 billion.
“Budget of Rural Development, Livelihood Support and Sustained Growth,” the governor explained that 3.68 per cent of the capital budget has been allocated to social protection.
The governor said in his presentation, “3.68 per cent of the capital budget is allocated to strengthening targeted support to elderly citizens, persons with disabilities, the internally displaced persons and extremely vulnerable households.
“Our expectations are geared toward reaching at least 1,000 beneficiaries in each of the 276 wards to reduce unemployment.
