Former Oyo Assembly Leader Dies in London

Kehinde Subair, a former majority leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly has died aged 60 years old.

 

As at the time of this reportage, the cause of his death is unknown. It was however gathered that he died after breaking his Ramadan fast in London.

 

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the state, who doesn’t want his name on prints, said, “Subair died in the UK, seven days to his 60th birthday. He will surely be missed by the party.”

 

The Publicity Secretary of the party, Wale Sadare while confirming the death of Subair, said, “Yes, he is dead, confirmed. But I cannot talk too much now because I am currently in a studio.”

 

Subair, an APC chieftain was said to have held several positions in the party and has also served in elective positions in the state.

 

He was a two-term member of the state House of Assembly from 2011 to 2019, and also served as the former Majority Leader of the House under the party.
