FIRST LADY CONFERRED WITH TRADITIONAL TITLE IN GOMBE

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria has been bestowed with the prestigious Sarauniyar Yaki (Queen Warrior) traditional title of Akko Emirate in Gombe State.

 

Alhaji Umar Muhammad Atiku, the Lamido Akko carried out the conferment on the First Lady as she embarked on a two-day working visit to the state.

 

He noted that the title was in recognition of her commitment to protecting the interests of vulnerable groups across the country.

 

As she received the traditional title, the First Lady expressed gratitude to the monarch and pledged to sustain her interventions, particularly in advancing the welfare of the girl child. She also urged traditional rulers in the state to support her advocacy.

 

Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, the executive governor of Gombe state as well as Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives attended the event among other dignitaries.
