EPL: ROSENIOR CLEARS THE AIR ON “UNHAPPY PALMER” RUMOURS

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has dismissed reports linking Cole Palmer with a return to Manchester, insisting the midfielder is happy at the club and central to long-term plans.

Rosenior said he held direct talks with Palmer following recent speculation about his future and received positive assurances from the player.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s X post on Friday, Rosenior was quoted as saying, “I spoke with Cole, and he seems and is very happy to be here,” Rosenior said. “For sure, Palmer is a huge part of our plans in the long term.”

The coach added that Palmer is in a good mental and physical place and has already rejoined the squad in training.

“He’s feeling in a good place and joined training today,” Rosenior said.

Palmer has recently been linked with a possible move back to Manchester, but Rosenior’s comments appear to firmly rule out any immediate plans for the player to leave.

The club considers Palmer a key figure going forward, with no indication that a transfer is being contemplated at this stage.

Palmer has recorded three goals and three assists in 11 appearances for Chelsea this season
