The 15th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA 2026), scheduled to take place from February 7 to February 14, 2026 has been approved to take place in Asaba, Delta State.
The Force Sports Planning Committee headed by Fom Pam Joseph, an Assistant Inspector General of Police made this known as part of it’s recommendation after it’s two-day strategic conference and inspection exercise held in Asaba between Friday and Saturday.
SP Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Delta State Command made this disclosure in an official statement released to newsmen on Saturday in Warri.
According to the statement, the conference and inspection exercise were aimed at fine-tuning operational plans, logistics, and coordination ahead of the commencement of the games.
“During the conference, critical issues bordering on venue readiness, security arrangements, accommodation, transportation, medical services, and general logistics were discussed, with emphasis placed on ensuring a seamless and professionally coordinated sporting event.
“Following the conference, the Committee embarked on an inspection tour of the various sporting facilities to be utilised for the games, assessing infrastructure, safety standards, logistics, and overall suitability for athletes and officials expected from police commands and formations across the country.
“The Force Sports Planning Committee reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a safe, orderly, and successful sporting festival, assuring participants and members of the public that preparations are progressing steadily.”
