‎CRIMINAL HIDEOUT DESTROYED IN ABIA STATE

A suspected criminal camp in Abia state has been discovered and subsequently destroyed by men of the Abia State Police Command.

‎DSP Maureen Chinaka, the official spokesperson of the state police Command disclosed this in an official statement released on Thursday, stating that the operation carried out within Unuobasi Forest in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State was based on credible and verified intelligence.

‎“Operatives of the Violent Crime Response Unit of the Command, in collaboration with the local security outfit in Umuobasi, carried out the operation on Sunday, 28/06/2026, leading to the destruction of the criminal camp and the disruption of criminal activities in the area. Monitoring of the area is still ongoing.”

‎The statement directed stern warning at criminals in the state warming them to desist from their criminal acts while also calling on residents of the state to collaborate with the police in effectively protecting the state.
