Is the Queen a secret Arsenal fan?!
With Her Majesty celebrating her 90th birthday on Thursday, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has set tongues wagging with a gag in a speech to mark the celebrations.
Corbyn, a devoted and vocal Arsenal supporter, has regularly been seen wearing a Gunners scarf and now claims that our dear Queen could harbour similar affection towards the Gunners.
Speaking at the House of Commons, for the residents of Islington, he said: “We all suspect her Majesty is, secretly, a Gooner.
“The Queen was due to open the Emirates Stadium in my constituency but had to pull out due to injury, a fate since suffered by many.”
If she is indeed an Arsenal fan, Extra Time doubts they will be receiving a royal seal of approval any time soon, having again been forced to battle for a spot in the Champions League instead of the Premier League title.
