BREAKING: AKWA IBOM GOV DUMPS PDP FOR APC

Umo Eno, the executive governor of Imo state has officially defected from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives’ congress (APC).

The governor made this disclosure at an official declaration in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State on Friday.

The governor made it known that he arrived at the decision following a “three months of wide consultation” with relevant stakeholders in the state.

Eno expressed his gratitude to the PDP for their support during his tenure, stating that it was time for him to make a progressive move.

The governor made it known that he defected to the ruling party due to his admiration for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his desire to align Akwa-Ibom with the central for enhanced benefit.

He said, “After completing the rounds of my consultation as your servant whom you have elected to serve, I have therefore decided to progressively move to the APC.”
