‎BENUE LP PICKS FEMALE DEPUTY GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE 

For the forthcoming general elections in Benue State, the Labour Party has unveiled Mrs Julie Obeta as its deputy governorship candidate.

‎Shortly after the emergence of the party’s governorship candidate, Mathias Byuan, the party made the disclosure on Monday at the party secretariat along Otukpo Road, Makurdi.

‎”We have consulted widely with the party stakeholders across the state and today and they unanimously elected Mrs Julie Obeta as the first female governorship candidate who by the grace of God comes 2027 will be the first female deputy governor of Benue State.”

Obeta’s nomination signifies a historic moment as it is the first instance of a female candidate being chosen for the deputy governorship role in Benue State under the Labour Party platform.
