Atiku Abubakar Visits Obasanjo

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former vice-president of Nigeria has clarified that his visit to Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday does not have anything to do with politics, but a courtesy visit to the former president.

 

Accompanied by former Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke; former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Tambuwal; and Senator Abdul Ningi, among others, Atiku Abubakar arrived at Obasanjo’s Abeokuta residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library around 12:35pm.

 

Akitu’s entourage was received by Elder Oyewole Fasawe who led them upstairs for a private meeting with the Former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The meeting lasted for about one hour, and thirty minutes.

 

When asked questions about the motive behind the meeting and if it was connected to his 2027 aspiration, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar noted that he was there on a courtesy visit to his former boss and not to discuss politics.
