AMOTEKUN ARRESTS SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER IN OSUN

The Amotekun Corp in Osun state has announced that it has arrested Ayobola Awe, a suspected kidnapper in Isokun area of Ilesa.

 

Mr Yusuf Abass, the Public Relations Officer for the Corps made this disclosure in a statement released in Osogbo on Sunday.

 

It was disclosed that the suspect otherwise known as ”Bishop Awasere” has been wanted for a long time for crime ranging from kidnapping to murder.

 

It stated that Awe and his notorious gang were tracked to a hideout in the Sokun area of Ilesa at 5:59 p.m.

 

“During the raid, Amotekun operatives recovered hard drugs and a cache of assorted charms believed to be used by the gang for spiritual fortification.

 

“We have also launched a manhunt on some gang members who managed to escape during the operation,” the statement added.

 

The statement pointed to the success against the notorious kidnapper as a remarkable one for the agency.
