NIGERIAN BUSINESS MAN UNDERGOES SURGERY TO REMOVE COCAINE PACKAGES STUCK IN HIS STOMACH

Chijioke Nnanna Igbokwe, a Nigerian businessman aged 59 has undergone surgery to remove 57 out of 81 pellets of cocaine stuck in his stomach after seven days of ingesting the illicit substance at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

 

Chijioke was arrested my officers and men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the arrival hall of the Muritala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) during clearance of Ethiopian Airline passengers On Sunday 25th, January 2025.

 

According to the NDLEA director of Media and Advocacy, Mr Femi Babafemi in a statement on Sunday, a body scan revealed the illicit drug in his system, thereby leading to his detention for further investigation and scrutiny.

 

Further investigation revealed that Mr Chijioke Nnanna who claimed to be into clothing business left Nigeria for Addis Ababa on January 22 where he ingested the 81 raps of cocaine before boarding a flight to Beirut, Lebanon where he was to deliver the package for a reward of $3,000.

 

The business man was denied entity to Beirut due to the lack of $2,000 being the minimum requirement. Having being deported to Addis Ababa, he attempted to excrete the package but was unable to do so. He later proceed to Lagos where he was arrested.
