UNIMED, AAUA, OAUSTECH To Get Needed Attention – Governor Aiyedatiwa

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has affirmed his dedication to providing comprehensive support to government-owned tertiary institutions in the state.

During a meeting with the Governing Councils of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED), Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (OAUSTECH), and Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), the Governor emphasized the pivotal role these institutions play in human capital development.

Aiyedatiwa assured a prompt assessment and resolution of challenges facing the institutions while seeking their continued collaboration for educational excellence in the state.

Prof. Ayodele Arowojolu, Pro-Chancellor of UNIMED, conveyed condolences for the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for releasing funds for the Faculty of Pharmacy of UNIMED . He also appealed for additional support for ongoing projects, specifically mentioning funds released for UNIMED’s Faculty of Pharmacy.

UNIMED’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adesegun Fatusin, commended the Governor’s commitment and announced the imminent production of the institution’s first batch of doctors.

In a similar vein, Prof. Akinbo Adesomoju, OAUSTECH’s Governing Council Chairman, urged the Governor to continue Akeredolu’s legacy by addressing infrastructure issues and facilitating modern facilities.

Prof. Olugbenga Ige, Vice Chancellor of AAUA, expressed solidarity with Governor Aiyedatiwa, commending his swift efforts in advancing the educational landscape since assuming office.
