The family of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has announced that his burial is scheduled for February 23, according to a statement released by the deceased eldest son, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, in Ondo on Monday.
Rotimi Akeredolu passed away on December 27, 2023, at a German Hospital after a prolonged illness.
The burial arrangements span from February 15 to February 25, covering locations such as Ibadan, Akure, and Owo. The lying-in-state ceremony is set for Wednesday, February 21, at the State Sports Complex in Akure, while the funeral service will take place on February 23 at St. Andrews Church, Owo, followed by interment later in Owo.
The Akeredolu family expressed gratitude for the condolences and support received, seeking prayers, support, and encouragement as they prepare to celebrate the life of the late former governor.
