A road accident that occurred on Thursday evening along the Ilesa/Akure expressway at Omi Asoro Junction Ilesa, Osun State has claimed four (4) lives.
Agnes Ogungbemi, Public Education Officer of the Osun State sector of the Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed that the number of causality in the accident is four persons, while ten persons were injured.
He shared that the accident happened when a bus transporting phone accessories and electronic appliances collided with an intra-city mini-bus in the Ilesa area. This unfortunate incident took place around 9 p.m. at the Omi Asoro junction.
“Four people died while 10 others sustained injuries. Three of the victims, two male adults and a female child, died instantly. Another passenger died this morning. The remains of the deceased have been taken to Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.
“Those injured include 7 adults and 3 children. The accident involved a Toyota Hiace commercial vehicle and a Suzuki commercial mini-bus. The driver of the mini-bus had no driver’s licence.
