A swift response operation by men of the Ogun State Police Command in the Ifo/Ibogun area of Ogun state had resulted in the arrest of two suspected cattle rustlers and the recovery of a cow valued at N1.7m.
Oluseyi Babaseyi, the public relations officer of the state command stated that “the suspects, identified as Muhammed Monsur and Olaseinde Olatunji, were apprehended by operatives of the Special Weapons and Tactics unit following a distress call from a farmer whose livestock had been attacked.”
“Officers swiftly mobilised to the scene upon receiving the report, leading to the interception of the suspects, who attempted to flee in a commercial minibus, popularly known as ‘Korope’.”
“The suspects were intercepted following an alarm raised due to their suspicious movements. The prompt intervention of operatives led to their arrest,”
