Awapul, a community in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State was attacked by suspected Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday.
Our correspondent reported that the assailants descended upon the town in substantial numbers at approximately 1:30 a.m., engaging in sporadic gunfire prior to causing significant damage to essential infrastructure, including private residences and commercial establishments.
ASP Nahum Daso, the Spokesperson of the Borno State Police Command disclosed the information to journalists, stating that no live was lost to the attack.
“There was an attack this morning around 1:30 a.m. in Chibok Local Government, in a village called Awapul.
“The attack was carried out by unknown men suspected to be Boko Haram.
“No casualties. It was a destruction of properties,”
