Following a kidnapping incident at Tingile Village, Birin Fulani area of Nafada Local Government Area, the Gombe State Police Command on Wednesday disclosed that it has successfully rescued the victim involved.
DSP Buhari Abdullahi, the command Police Public Relations Officer kidnapped man from his ranch after beating him and injuring his son.
He said, “On 11th February 2026 at about 0300hrs, unknown persons armed with sticks, cutlasses and knives invaded the cattle range of Alhaji Adamu Bappah, 48, of Tingile Village via Birin Fulani.
“The assailants beat the victim and his son with sticks and cutlasses and kidnapped him to an unknown destination. The victim’s son sustained injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.”
“The victim was safely rescued at Dawo bush area of Kwani Local Government Area and immediately taken to the hospital for medical examination before reuniting with his family,” he added.
“The Command reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety and security of all residents within Gombe State,” Abdullahi added.
