Before commencing the usual plenary of the House of Representative yesterday, the members of the House delve into an executive session for close to three hours.
The presiding officer, Hon. Benjamin Kalu who is the Deputy Speaker called for a motion to moved for the House to enter into an executive session at about 12 noon.
This moves may not be unconnected to debts owed to indigenous contractors by the Federal government of Nigeria.
The indigenous contractors who are putting pressure on government to effect payment for work done are seeing blocking the entrance and exit gate of the National assembly complex and obstructing the free flow of vehicular traffic.
Security agents as well as staffs of the National Assembly are seeing having a hard time restoring normalcy and bringing the situation under control.
