KANO CP URGES OFFICERS TO UPHOLD INTEGRITY

Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, the Kano State Police Commissioner has directed the Command’s tactical and operational heads to review and revolve their crime-fighting strategies and sustained the gains and impact of Operation Kukan Kura.

 

SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer made this disclose in a statement released on Monday.

 

The CP expressed gratitude and commendation to the officers for upholding professionalism, dedication, and sacrifices, a situating which has led to a situation of relative peace and tranquility in the state.

 

According to Bakori, the Command has recorded “notable achievements” in curbing thuggery-related crimes, popularly known as Daba, alongside other criminal activities.

 

“We must remain proactive and relentless in our operations until criminal elements either abandon their unlawful activities or are brought to justice,” the CP said.

 

He attributed the operatinela success recorded in the state to the collective effort and team work of police officers in the state while urging them to remain on guard.

 

He called on officers to uphold a strong moral standing and do away with all manner of corruption and misconduct that could pitch them against the public.

 

“Unprofessional conduct undermines the Command’s collective effort to safeguard lives and property. I strongly warn against any act that could damage the trust of the people we serve,” he added.

 

“Policing cannot succeed without the people. We must work closely with communities to build trust and enhance safety,” Bakori said.

 

The commissioner assured the officers of the commands support as they wage a sustained war against crime and criminality in the state.
