Her entrance was like a triumphant one, as the entire congregation in the chapel erupted in applause and joy, with almost everybody unable to contain their excitement at her arrival. The governor, who was hosting a separate event within the Government House premises, was said to have been caught off guard by her arrival.

Her continuous absence in the Government House as been said by many to be a missing link in governance.

In a moment that further cemented her return, the officiating priest at the chapel publicly acknowledged her presence, addressing her as “Her Excellency”, a remark that drew further applause from the congregation. The recognition of the First Lady by the cleric was seen as a symbolic honour, underlining her place in the affairs of the state.

Her return comes amid heightened political activity in the state, as Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa prepares to be sworn in as governor. The development has now fueled fresh speculation about the state of their relationship and its potential impact on the political landscape.

While neither Aiyedatiwa nor his wife has spoken publicly about the situation, political observers see her return as a significant moment ahead of the governor’s February 24 inauguration.
