The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board has distributed motorcycles to Monitoring and Evaluation Officers in a bid to ensure enhanced supervision and monitoring of public primary schools in the state.
Nureni Adeniran, the Oyo SUBEB Chairman explained that initiative is crafted at improving mobility, timely school visits and efficient monitoring of teaching and learning activities with special consideration for community with difficult accessibility.
Adeniran said, “Effective monitoring remains a critical pillar in achieving improved learning outcomes in the state schools.
“The motorcycles would enable Monitoring and Evaluation Officers carry out their duties with greater ease, reduce delays in school inspections and enhance data-driven decision-making.”
He appreciated the Universal Basic Education Commission for its partnership with the state to strengthen basic education delivery while also charging the beneficiaries to make use of the bike for the official purpose for which it was deployed.
