YPP Launches Streetlight Drive to Boost Security in Ondo Kingdom

The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has launched a new streetlight installation project in Ondo Kingdom. The goal is to curb night-time crime and make the streets safer for residents.

The party said the lights will be placed in crime-prone areas. They believe this will discourage criminals and restore confidence to the community.

YPP leaders also noted that the project will help the local economy. With better lighting, traders, artisans, and transport workers can operate safely after dark.

The party praised the efforts of local youths who have formed community watch groups. These groups have been helping the police and campaigning against miscreants. YPP described its streetlight project as a way to support and strengthen these community efforts.

At the launch event in Oke-Ibukun Street, community leader Pastor Adekuoroye expressed his gratitude.

The YPP called on residents, community leaders, and security agencies to protect the new lights. They stressed that lasting safety can only be achieved through collective responsibility
