We won’t retrench workers in Ondo State- Olusegun Mimiko

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has assured that his administration will not retrench workers this despite the country’s economic challenges. The governor charged the workers to be diligent in their discharge of duties, avoid unfaithfulness and time wasting.

Mimiko gave this assurance while addressing civil servants at the 2016 First Working Day Prayers session held at the Governor’s Office.

“In Ondo State, I can assure you that we will not retrench workers in the year 2016 despite the economic meltdown as a result of fall in the price of crude oil globally. You must be creative to add values to yourselves and the system. 2016 is the year to truly diversify the nation’s economy to survive this critical time of economic downturn.”

The session had in attendance Wife of The Governor, Olukemi, Deputy Governor, Alhaji Abdulazeez Oluboyo, members of the State Executive Council, top government functionaries, clergymen and a large number of civil servants.

“If all of us are faithful to that which is laid in our hands, we shall turn things around and it will be for the good of everybody “.

Highlights of the session were prayers for Ondo State Governor, his family and the entire Ondo State workforce, peace, progress and prosperity, for good governance, accelerated development and peaceful election in the new year among others.”
