St. Monica’s Girls Grammar School @ 70

The only Girls public secondary school left in Ondo West Local Government, St. Monica’s Girls Grammar School celebrates her platinum 70th anniversary in grand style as men of timber and caliber came from all walks of life to mark this colourful event with the management and students of the school.

 

The Principal of the school, Chief Mrs Akinseloyin thank God almighty for his grace and mercy over the school and as well congratulates the staffs and students of the school for witness the 70th anniversary unscathed.

 

She noted that her aims and objectives right from when she assumed office in the year 2019 is to make the school the best in Ondo town and one of the very best in Ondo State and Southwest Nigeria.

 

In her words, “we’ve been able to achieve plethora of developments with our dedication and commitments to serving the best interest of St Monica’s girls grammar school. Our alumni association has always been helpful in this regards as they continue to offer financial, moral and emotional supports towards the realization of sustainable growths and development in the school.”

 

 

She also acknowledged Hon. Dr. Abiola Makinde, Member House of Representatives representing the good people of Ondo East and West federal constituency for his continued support for the school.

 

St. Monica Girl’s Grammar School, Ondo was established in 1955, and it has produced notable women globally.

 

 

Some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion includes, His Excellency Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa ably represented by Hon. Ayotunde Akinfolarin, Chairman Ondo West Local Government, Oba Dr. Victor Kiladejo, the paramount ruler and Osemawe of Ondo, Hon. Dr. Abiola Makinde, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, Speaker ODHA Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji ably represented by Hon. Jimoh Adebayo, Ondo North East LCDA Transition Committee Chairman, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju amongst others.
