Bola Tinubu, the newly elected president of Nigeria, has vowed to carry all citizens along and work for the development of the country.
He gave this assurance on Wednesday at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, where he and his running mate Kashim Shettima were presented with their certificates of return.
“I will work day and night for you, the people, especially the youths. I will work to the utmost of my ability to make Nigeria better,” the former Lagos State governor said during the event.
“In order for this to be a victory at all, it cannot be a victory for one man or even one party. It must become a victory for all Nigerians who want a better society.”
The event took place just hours after the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate was declared the winner of Saturday’s preselection.
