POLICE APPREHEND SUSPECTED KILLER OF 53 YEAR OLD MOTORCYCLIST IN DELTA STATE ‎

The prime suspect in the murder of Mr Friday Orumgbe, a 53-year-old commercial motorcyclis , in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State has been arrested by the Delta State Command of the Nigerian police force.

‎SP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson of the police in the state made this disclosure in a statement made available to the public on Thursday.

‎He said, “The Delta State Police Command has continued to record significant operational successes in its renewed drive to stamp out violent crimes, cultism, and other threats to public peace across the state. Through sustained intelligence gathering, proactive patrols, and community collaboration, the Command has dismantled criminal networks involved in armed robbery, cult-related activities, and a tragic case of abduction and murder.

‎“Operatives attached to Agbor Division have arrested a key suspect involved in the abduction and murder of a commercial motorcyclist in Agbor. On 7th October 2025, a missing person’s report was received at the Agbor Division, indicating that a man identified as Friday Orumgbe, 53, of Idumu Oza, Agbor, who left home on 6th October 2025 with his Lifan motorcycle, had failed to return.
