Pandemonium in Ondo as drivers’ unions kick against Jimoh Ibrahim

There was pandemonium in Ondo and Akure as driver unions and residents took to the street to protest the replacement of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Eyitayo Jegede SAN  with Bar. Jimoh Ibrahim from the final list of INEC.

It was a rude shock to many supporters and political spectators as INEC released the final list of candidates for the forthcoming Ondo State Guber election.

You will recall that an Abuja High Court had earlier on October 15, ordered the electoral commission to remove Jegede’s name for the name of the candidate of the Ali Modu Sheriff’s faction of the PDP, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, a ruling by Justice Olamide of the Akure High Court yesterday based on an Ex-parte order brought before the court by Clement Faboyede retrained INEC from removing the name of Eyitayo Jegede.
