OYO INTRODUCES TIRE SPIKES TO STOP WRONG WAY DRIVING

The Oyo state government has installed tire spike to as a way of discouraging wrong way driving.

 

Viral videos been circulated on Social media shows the workings of newly deployed enforcement tool. The spikes are put in place to deflate the tires of vehicles attempting to drive against normal traffic flows, thereby ensuring strict observance of road regulations.

 

Sharing the footage on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, OyoAffairs stated, “To prevent motorists from driving the wrong way on one-way roads, the Oyo State Government has started installing ‘One-Way Tyre Spikes.’ This one here is located along Idi-Ape.”

 

However, the state government has yet to issue an official statement regarding the widespread implementation of the measure.
