OSUN STATE PDP SANCTIONS DEPUTY GOVERNOR AND FORMER SCRIBE OVER ANTI-PARTY ACTIVITIES

The deputy governor of Osun State, Kola Adewusi and a former National Secretary of the party, Prof. Wale Oladipo has been slammed with a vote of no confidence by the Peoples Democratic Party in Ife Federal Constituency for involving themselves in anti-party activities.

The party made this disclosure through a communique released on Monday in Osogbo. According to the statement, Olasunkanmi Makinde, the Ife East Local Government PDP chairman was also sanctioned.

Explaining the decision, the party alleged that the three leaders had continued to fraternise with the member representing Ife Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Bimbo Ajilesoro, who recently defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress.

“The party is dissatisfied with the actions and conduct of Bimbo Ajilesoro, who defected from the party with the mandate freely given to him by our people.

“The leadership is equally disappointed by the continued fraternity of Prof. Wale Oladipo, the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, and the Ife East PDP Chairman, Olasunkanmi Makinde (a.k.a Benco), with Bimbo Ajilesoro, who has since defected from the party.

“In Ife East, the party is enraged that loyal members, such as Lawrence Omotosho, Adeyinka Adeniji (a.k.a Gbogbo Ebe), Yakubu Olawusi and others, who openly disassociated themselves from Ajilesoro following his defection, are being victimised by being relieved of their government and party positions. More importantly, party meetings in Ife East Local Government have been put on hold by these leaders, thereby weakening party activities in the area.”

“In view of the above, which amounts to anti-party activities and poses grave danger to the success of the party in Ifeland, the meeting hereby resolves as follows: A vote of no confidence is passed on Prof. Wale Oladipo, the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, and the PDP Chairman of Ife East Local Government, Hon. Olasunkanmi Makinde (a.k.a Benco).”
