His words: “One of our programmes for next year is that we want to resuscitate the young farmers club in some selected secondary schools in the state.  We want to inculcate in these young minds the love for farming, we want to generate income into the coffers of the schools’ management, so that they will not depend solely on government.”

Olotu who said the programme will be a public private partnership arrangement stressed that the association will liase with schools managements to ensure the success of the programme.

He said the revenue generated from the project will be kept in the coffers of the schools’ managements and will be used to maintain the schools instead of depending solely on government.

“This programme will be a public private partnership arrangement.  We are going to partner with private sectors to ensure the success of the programme and whatever is generated will be used to maintain the schools.  We want to ensure that the schools managements do not depend solely on government,” he said.
