Ondo IPAC affirms members’ participation in LG polls

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Ondo State has debunked the rumours making the rounds that some of its members would boycott the forthcoming local government elections.

Oluwole Fagboro the Publicity Secretary of the body, told newmen that all the members of IPAC would participate in the election and called on all parties to embrace peace as they prepare for the polls.

The body commended the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) and governor Olusegun Mimiko for the necessary logistics for credible local government poll.

Also, Speaking, the IPAC, chairman, Hon. Fatai Adams and his deputy, Olusola Adeniyi said the conference of political parties [CNPP] had ceased to exist with the formation of  IPAC.

Representatives of 15 parties including AA, AD, ADC, Accord, APA, APGA, CPP, DPC, LP, MPPP, PDC, PDM, PDP, PPN and UDP were part of the briefing and restated their readiness to be part of the upcoming election.
