ODSG and BEDC reach agreement to restore power to Ondo South and Idanre

There is good news for the people of Ondo South Senatorial district and Idanre in Ondo Central as the Ondo State government intervened and reached an agreement with Benin Electircity Distribution Company (BEDC) to end the power crisis currently experienced in the areas.

This information was divulged by the Commissioner for Information Kayode Akinmade while briefing newmen in Akure, according him, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has taken charge of the situation and an agreement already in place to restore power to this areas, who were disconnected due to huge amount of money owed by customers.

Akimade added that ” The company said some people in the communities affected have been  owing huge amount of money before they  took over from PHCN and they need to recover the debts. But government position was that the innocent consumers who have been diligent in payment should not bear the brunt of the inability of others to pay”.
