By Owoyomi Damilola Owot

The economy of Ondo city has been affected with the current state of MTN network in the town. The network (MTN), which has been observed as the dominant network in the nook and cranny of the town, have not been available for over 7 days.

A quick sampling done in the student area of the town, Adeyemi College of Education, where there are over 15,000 students showed that unavailability of the network has crippled majority of their activities.

Course representatives no longer have access to their course lectures, there have been bridge of network between the students, parents can no longer reach their wards while the worst part of it is that lovers couldn’t contact themselves in this harsh harmattan period.

Most inhabitants of the town have switched to other networks like Glo, Airtel and etisalat. Internet users have also seek refuge under the aforementioned network providers. This case is even critical to some people who have invested in the sales of recharge cards, both in bulk and pieces.

EkimogunMirror however urge the management of MTN to please do something about the current state of their network in the city.
