‎MAN ARRESTED WITH ILLICIT DRUGS IN ENUGU ‎

Musa Zuberu, a 42-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in illicit drug peddling in the state by men of the Enugu State Command of the Nigerian Police Force.

‎Daniel Ndukwe, the spokesperson of the Enugu State Police Command explained that the suspect was apprehended on February 11, 2026, at about 1:40 pm.

‎“The suspect was arrested on 11th February 2026 at about 1:40 pm by operatives of the Command attached to the Crack Tactical Squad during a routine patrol along Camp 1, Iva Valley, Enugu,” he said.

‎“A search of the suspect led to the recovery of a large quantity of weed suspected to be marijuana, including the synthetic ‘Canadian Loud’ and ‘Colorado’ (‘Colos’) variants, as well as other quantities of suspected illicit drugs,” he stated.

‎“Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the suspect’s accomplices and dismantle illicit drug peddling networks across the state,” Ndukwe said.

‎“The command recently arrested five male suspects, including a dispatch rider, in separate operations and recovered large quantities of illicit drugs and substances, including tramadol, methamphetamine (locally called ‘Mkpuru-mmiri’), and variants of weed suspected to be marijuana,”

‎“The Commissioner of Police has reiterated the command’s unwavering commitment to sustaining the fight against illicit drug peddling and consumption, and the crimes associated with them in Enugu State. Those involved are warned to desist forthwith or be ready to face the full weight of the law,”
