Magnus Abe, former Rivers East Senator has received Senate confrontation as board chairman of the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.
On March 16, 2026, the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) screened Senator Magnus Abe in line with the provisions of the relevant laws.
Sunday Adebayo and Paul Yaro were also confirmed by the Senate committee as non-executive commissioners of the commission.
The committee under the chairmanship of Senator Eteng Williams, considered nominees submitted by President Bola Tinubu for appointment into the NUPRC board.
