‎LAGOS POLICE ARREST 24 YEAR OLD OVER ROMANCE SCAM ‎

A 24-year-old man has been arrested by the Airport Police Command over his involvement in a large-scale fraud running into N48.5 million.

The suspect, identified as Precious Onudhona, a native of Delta State, was taken into custody on February 2, 2026, at the airport while endeavoring to board a flight to Asaba. His apprehension was the result of actionable intelligence acquired by the Anti-Fraud Unit of the Command.

‎Mohamed Adola, the Airport police Public Relations Officer explained that the suspect employs such tactics as fake identity and deception in scamming their unsuspecting victims.

‎He said, “The suspect posed as “Travis Kevin,” a white American medical doctor, and fraudulently created a fake banking domain displaying fictitious account balances

‎“He reportedly used this platform to solicit funds from victims under the pretense of repaying them within a short period. The funds were claimed to be needed for feeding and medical supplies after he allegedly sustained injuries in the line of duty which he received through cryptocurrency.”
