LAGOS ELECTRICIAN DIES OF ELECTROCUTION

The Lagos State command of the Nigerian Police Force has confirmed the unfortunate death of an electrician aged 45 years old who was electrocuted while carrying out reconnection of cable on an electrical pole.

 

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson made this disclosure in Lagos on Sunday via a statement he issued to the public.

 

He said that the incident happened on August 10 at 11:30 a.m. in the Shasha area of the state.

 

“The electrician lost his life while reconnecting electricity cables to an electric pole at Shasha.

 

“When the case was reported, a team of police detectives visited the scene.

 

“He was rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty,” the spokesperson said.

 

He however noted that investigation into the unfortunate incident is currently ongoing.
