Popular Juju Maestro Sunday Adeniyi known as King Sunny Ade paid a courtesy visit to the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City yesterday, 24th May, 2016.
The Ondo born international musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist came in company of High Chief Johnson Adeduro, the Sasere of Ondo Kingdom at about 9:30am in the morning and was immediately ushered into the Vice-Chancellor’s office by the Director of Public Relations.
The juju musical icon used the opportunity of his visit to debunked the rumour that he’s dead. He said “i am not dead, this is me and not my ghost”
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Friday Okonofua who welcomed the musician said the University is proud to be associated with the ever green musician and that he was surprised at hearing the rumour of his death.
King Sunny Ade assured the University management of his support, “i am a friend of the University and i am proud that the first University of Medical Sciences is in my home town”.
